Director

David is a highly experienced metallurgy professional with over two decades of expertise in copper, gold, and base metal processing. As a former Manager of Metallurgy for Directional Studies & Innovation at Newcrest, David has a proven track record of optimizing operational performance and driving innovation in the mining industry. With a Ph.D. in Minerals Processing from the University of Queensland and degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, David combines academic knowledge with practical experience. ​His career highlights include implementing strategies that significantly improved metal recovery rates, developing comprehensive process models, and leading project implementations across multiple operating sites. David's expertise spans operational excellence, brownfields expansions, and geometallurgy. He has a strong background in technology and innovation management, having led portfolios using the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) process. ​His skills include flotation, gold and copper processing, statistical and data analytics, and process modeling and optimization. ​As a consultant with Paradocs, David offers clients the benefit of his extensive industry networks, leadership experience, and technical acumen to drive sustainable improvements and excellence in metallurgical processes.

Brigitte is a highly experienced professional with over 20 years of industry experience. Her contributions have spanned ore deposit characterization, planning, technology and innovation, business development, technical services, building and leading teams and facilitation of successful cross-functional collaborations. Brigitte has a proven track record of supporting successful implementations and driving innovation in the mining industry. With a Ph.D. from the University of Queensland's Sustainability Mineral Institute and undergraduate and Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, Brigitte combines academic knowledge with practical experience. ​Her career highlights include leading the concept development and supporting the successful implementation of the world’s first Eriez Hydrofloat in sulphide processing, delivering a feasibility-level development of a novel hydromet process, and reviewing several procurement opportunities with successful outcomes. Brigitte's expertise spans copper, gold and base metal processing with particularly emphasis on ore deposit characterisation, flotation, technology assessment and implementation in these commodities.  ​As a consultant, Brigitte offers clients the benefit of her leadership and mentoring experience, and technical acumen to drive sustainable improvements and excellence in metallurgical processes.
